Christmas Break!

Christmas break has finally arrived! I have the next four or six weeks off, depending on if I take a Wintersession class or not.  I am currently in Atlanta with my sweet boyfriend at his parent's home. Unfortunately, the only people in town are Ole Miss students so we're kind of playing the waiting game for everyone else to get back home so we have something to do!
Tonight we picked out a Christmas tree with his parents and followed it with dinner at PF Changs. Sooo yummy! Tomorrow night will be full of decorating the tree and the rest of the house while drinking lots of hot chocolate. Hopefully there will be a party to go to tomorrow night because I brought wayyy too many cute outfits to just sit at home in leggings and tshirts!
I am also freaking out about what to buy for E's Christmas gift!! He has all the clothes he could need, a nice watch, two wallets, everything! I'm debating cologne and a Patagonia maybe? Who knows what I'll end up buying him. Hopefully something he loves!

Later this week I am venturing off the Jacksonville to see my BFF Kaley!! I haven't seen her since the Nashville trip and I am so pumped to spend a week with her! We have nice Christmas parties and a Deb Ball to attend and we will have plenty going on in between. Thank goodness I'm not stuck in boring ole Oxford right now!!

OOOh! I almost forgot! Chaney, my beautiful golden retriever, is having puppies THIS WEEK! I am happy that I get to return home to those little balls of love. And maybe get one for Christmas?! I'm still trying to decide if I'm responsible enough and ready to keep up with a puppy.

Merry Christmas!!

November

This month has flown by!! It's already Thanksgiving break and thank goodness for that! However, I am so bored sitting in Oxford with only a hand full of friends. Everyone, including Elliott, left Sunday and it has been a painfully boring 24 hours. I've spent more time Skyping and on the phone with Nola than we usually spend together in a week. Needless to say there is NOTHING to do in O-town. I even made a peanut butter pie last night out of boredom!

I woke up this morning to lots of rain. Thank goodness Serendipity was on E to entertain me! I'm not really sure how the rest of this day, or the rest of break, will end up considering the options.. which are basically zero. Hopefully something fun will happen!

Catching Up

So it's been a month since my last post. Which wasn't really a post at all.. It was more of me letting out my frustrations since I don't know how to make my blog pretty. I'm sure I would be much more inclined to blog if I had a nice looking outcome. But I'm going to give this blogging thing a shot again with or without a pretty background.
I've come across so many blogs that I end up spending an hour on because I'm so interested in what the blogger has to say. They post the most random and sweet things and it makes me jealous that I don't do it as well! I'm going to try and post a couple of times a week. I like the idea of doing the "Friday Favorites" and "What I'm Loving Wednesdays." It's an easy, good idea that produces an interesting result.
And again, if anyone has any tips for me on how to fix my blog up I would LOVE to hear it!!

$%^&*

I would use blogger a lot more if my page was cute.... I can't figure this stuff out.

Oops!

I completely forgot about my blog! Haha I think every minute I've been on my computer in the last week was spent on Pinterest. If you don't have one I suggest getting one immediately! It's the coolest thing ever once you get the hang of it. I've made all of my friends get one so now we're all obsessed. It's way better than stumble upon too. You can follow me here!

It's been a fairly boring week. Nothing too special going on which is unfortunate. BUT Ole Miss won our second game of the season playing Fresno State all the way in California! HOTTY TODDY ABOUT DAMN TIME! We are the first SEC team to travel to Cali to play a game which I think is pretty cool! Today was bid day in Oxford which I wasn't looking forward to until I got a last minute invite to SAE's bid day party. It's usually boys only but they let the girlfriend's come this year which was really nice of them since most of us aren't in or dropped sororities. It was actually a really fun day out in the same field Paddy Murphy was hosted in last spring. I even shotgunned my first beer! Probably a year too late but whatevs!

I'm still trying to figure out this whole blogspot thing.. It's too complicated for me. It reminds me of myspace with all of the html coding and I'm a facebook girl so I need a little help around this thing! I also want a prettier background but I have no idea where to find free ones. Help a girl out!

Georgia Weekend!

My boyfriend (Elliott) and I have been patiently waiting for this weekend all year. He's from Atlanta and has many, many friends that go to UGA. He himself is a huge fan of the school because his dad finished law school there and well he's from Georgia and you pull for your state school right? Unfortunately, he has let me know he's pulling for the Dawgs this weekend. No loyalty! Whatever I'm still pulling for my Rebs and always will.

208 in Downtown Oxford

Tonight, Shelby and I are going to my favorite restaurant, 208, with Margaret and her family. I'm super excited because we're following dinner with a huge party at Frank and Marley's! SAE rented out the fab piano bar and I'm more than ready to be downtown for the second time this semester! (Screw you abc) Late night at SAE with the gang I'm sure will come after.
Hotty Toddy for Georgia weekend!!

"It's okay, we're going on an adventure."

My my my where to start about this weekend! Nashville was more fun than I ever imagined it could be. I had so much fun every minute and I would do anything if I could repeat it in the near future. I'm going to break down the weekend by day so it's a little easier to keep organized.

Thursday
After the drive to Nash with Nola and the others, we were welcomed with a delicious home cooked meal from Mama Jill. She is the sweetest lady ever and made everyone feel special by making our requests. How nice is that?! She then followed dinner with her special mojitos and those things were divine! I could drink them all day I swear! We ended the night bonding on the porch. It was a very nice chill night.

my best friends

Friday
The girls woke up early to another wonderful home cooked meal and then headed straight to the new Nordstrom's. I could have stayed there all day gazing at the purses and shoes. #heavenly After the mall, I went to Molly's with Kelsey and Karmen to see Caitlyn and Kaley. We were all crying from being so excited to see each other. It made me realize how beautiful true friendship really can be and how lucky I am to have such wonderful friends. That night ended with a bunch of empty champagne bottles and a lot of great pictures.

Some of the crew at Rippy's

Saturday
Kaley, Caitlyn, and I started the day at Starbucks for Pumpkin Spice Lattes and a little bonding before everyone else woke up. When we got back to Molly's everyone was getting ready not for the game, but for the party. We are Ole Miss students after all. ;) Everyone headed to a great place called Rippy's on Broadway in downtown Nashville that ended up being the hub for the Ole Miss crowd. I saw so many people I knew and ran into people I haven't seen in forever. It was such a nice time! In fact, I was there for 12 hours!! It went by so fast because I was with all of my closest friends and having the time of my life. Around 8 o'clock Kaley and I wondered a few blocks from the bar to a convenient store where we ate cereal and pop tarts for dinner. Every block that went by Kaley kept repeating, "We're going on an adventure. It's an adventure right?" It was actually pretty hilarious. We returned to Rippy's to more drinks and singing with the band and happier than we could be. However, at 3 am I ended up in a cab alone (a huge no-no of mine) heading to Rich's house when I got lost and ended the night in tears. Thankfully I made it safely to Rich's and Kaley was there to make everything better.

All in all it was an amazing weekend and I wouldn't change any part of it for anything in the world. I just wish all of my friends would come back to Ole Miss and it didn't just have to be a weekend adventure but an every weekend adventure.

Vegas Baby!

Okay okay so not Vegas Vegas, but NashVegas counts for something right!? Ole Miss plays Vandy away this weekend and of course I'm going since half of my friends are from Nashville. I'm super excited to be going out of town for the weekend with all of my besties! And I mean ALL of them!! Kaley and Caitlyn are even coming up from Florida! I love Oxford and all but it's nice to have a break every now and then. My only sadness this weekend will be when I go to the mall to the brand new Nordstrom's and can't buy anything because I am a very frivolous person when it comes to money and I have already blown my allowance. However, that is changing soon! More on that to come next week.

Downtown Nashville

I'm also super pumped about my outfit! My dress is even cuter than this one but this is the closest I could find on Polyvore. (which I'm still trying to get the hang of)

Presh right!? I'm sure I'll have lots to write about over the weekend! Hotty Toddy Yall!

Nothing wrong with a little T Swift

About a year ago, Taylor Swift's CD Speak Now was released on one of the hardest days I've had in college. I listened to every song over and over again until they were familiar and meaningful... just like every other song of hers. I am so excited to say that this weekend one of my best friend's and me are going to see her in concert!! Nashville for the weekend is going to be amazing! Woo!
